[觀影心得]

《遮蔽的天空》是一部探討中年夫妻感情問題的電影。

《遮蔽的天空》改編自著名小說 "The Sheltering Sky", 作者: Paul Bowles。電影描述一對感情空虛的美國中年夫妻 John Malkovich 和 Debra Winger，來到摩洛哥 (Morocco) 旅行，時值二次大戰剛剛結束不久。

在這段自我探索的旅程中，這對中年夫妻期望能藉由體驗異邦不同的文化，來嘗試挽救不再熱情的婚姻生活。無奈，在旅行的過程中，發生了重大的變故，面臨生離死別的關鍵時刻， John Malkovich 和 Debra Winger 終於明瞭雙方還是深刻地愛著對方，但是，卻必須立即面臨人生最殘酷的考驗，一段散心的旅遊，竟然演變成死亡之旅，最後，Debra Winger 悲傷至極，如行尸走肉般於沙漠遊蕩，孤寂的傷痛，永遠難以釋懷。

這部電影的攝影風格，有《阿拉伯的勞倫斯》般的沙漠景觀，也有《英倫情人》般的沙漠塵爆，我個人相當喜愛這樣的呈現。

原著作者 Paul Bowles 本人也於電影終劇前現身說法，說出一段令人省思的人身哲理，全文如下:

Because we don't know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. Yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number, really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, some afternoon that's so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four or five times more. Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless.
